Say It in Song

All over the world, people love to tell stories through song. This residency explores different genres of songwriting, including folk songs, pop songs, and the blues. Children will learn some common song structures and, using instruments and voices, create original lyrics and set them to music. This program can focus on either solo or choral music, and song topics can be based on classroom curriculum.
