Residency Programs
Manhattan New Music Project’s arts education residencies empower students as creators. Students who participate in our programs compose their own music, choreograph dances, and write theatrical scenes. They improvise, build instruments, and invent dramatic characters. Many residencies culminate with performances and multimedia presentations of student work for peers, family, and community.
MNMP can design a residency for your school that fits any time frame — from a single-day workshop for teachers and administrators to a collaboratively designed, multi-year residency for any grade. Typical residencies involve weekly day-long, half-day, or hour-long visits, depending on the number of participating classes.
