Moviemaking Basics
Students learn the basic components of filmmaking and storytelling in this new media workshop. Basic camera functions inherent to the course are discussed, as well as the fundamentals of composition, lighting, motion, and framing. Segments and scenes from film and video history are viewed and analyzed by the students, who will then complete their own projects in various genres, depending on age range and interests. Students will also be introduced to iMovie.
Recommended for grades 6-12
