Hip-Hop Habit
Do your students like to rap? Getting kids interested in writing poetry is a snap with this residency. Students will, individually and/or collaboratively, write rap lyrics about topics related to their classroom curriculum. They will select or compose a beat track appropriate to their lyrics, and merge music and poetry to create complete hip-hop songs.
Recommended for grades 2-12
