Professional Development
MNMP offers short-term and long-term professional development workshops that feature hands-on activities for both classroom teachers and arts specialists. Aligned with New York State Learning Standards as well as the New York City Blueprint for Teaching and Learning in the Arts, our most successful model provides teacher workshops, followed by in-class mentoring in a collaborative, co-teaching environment.

This summer, we are also holding a special Summer Institute featuring comprehensive training in our Everyday Arts for Special Education (EASE) methodology. Training will focus on effective practice in multi-disciplinary, integrated arts instruction for children with disabilities, and will be divided between hands-on arts activities and discussion. Regardless of previous arts training or experience, participants will leave the EASE Summer Institute with the knowledge, resources, and confidence required to begin implementing integrated arts activities in the classroom.
