Joan Merwyn

Joan Merwyn is an award winning and critically acclaimed performing artist, teacher, choreographer and stage director. She has performed and taught in Europe, Canada and the U.S. with her solo performances and as a founding member of numerous experimental and physical theater companies. As a performer and educator, she has appeared from San Francisco to Montreal and throughout Europe, from site-specific locations to colleges, international performance festivals and opera houses. Joan Merwyn Physical Theater reflects 30 years of experience in the fields of mime and Physical Theater. She is currently performing and touring two, one-woman shows: SHIFTINGS, for evening audiences and CHO?CES for family audiences, youth, schools mental health and community centers.
