Michelle Y. Burke

Michelle Y. Burke completed her MFA in creative writing at Ohio State University. She has published poems, essays, book reviews, and interviews in literary journals such as Hotel Amerika, Prairie Schooner, Spoon River Poetry Review, and the New Orleans Review. Her poetry chapbook, Horse Loquela, was published by the Alabama School of Fine Arts in 2007. In addition to working as a teaching artist for the Manhattan New Music Project, she also teaches creative writing through LEAP (Learning Expanded through an Arts Program) and with the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth. She also works as a professional facilitator for the FreeArts NYC weekly mentor program.
